To ensure that all our tents offer optimum comfort and durability,
every model is subjected to a series of tests to guarantee perfect functioning outdoors.

Fabric, seams, the frame, ventilation, instructions etc. are all scrutinised just for you!

Shower test

The waterproof properties of Quechua tents are also subjected to rigorous testing, namely the "shower" test»

The tent is only approved if it can withstand the pressure exerted by 200 litres of water/hour/sqm, over a 4 hour period, without allowing a single drop to penetrate the tent's fabric.
This test allows us to test the waterproofing of the entire tent, and not just the fabric. Naturally, the fabric must be waterproof but the seams, flaps, openings and zips etc. also need to be completely watertight!

Wind tunnel test

To guarantee your comfort and safety when camping outdoors, all the tents designed by Quechua
are tested in a wind tunnel..

The entire structure, as well as the rigging lines
need to be able to withstand winds measuring between 50km/h to 90km/h ,
(at ground level), with all sides of the tent being tested.
